6 IKM will Compete in Convention of GKM

6 out of 300 Small-Medium Industry (IKM) which passed in the beginning selection step, will re-compete to represent East Jakarta Administration in convention selection process of Gugus Kendali Mutu (GKM) at provincial level. The East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department will select those 6 IKM on the upcoming August 5.

"We will select those 6 IKM to find one representative of East Jakarta in Convention of GKM at provincial level," said Head of Industry Section for East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department, Rommy, Friday (7/31).

He told, during the selection, those IKM will explaine about managerial, production, until marketing processes. "We will judge which one could be the best, innovative and prospective," he told.

Those 6 IKM consists of 3 metal field industries, 2 spice industries, and 1 food industry. "Hopefully we could still maintain the achievement until national level," he hoped.

In the event which is held twice a month, the Government has repeatedly reached the award at national level. In 2011, fogging production industry successfully won the 1st place, then 2013 in Yogyakarta drink product industry that represented East Jakarta awarded as the best product.

"We hope, it can make other industry in the area to be more developed and always trying to create best product and success in the marketing," he disclosed.

For this year, convention of GKM at national level will be held in September in Padang, West Sumatera.
